THE STORY OF BENEFIT ADMINISTRATION CORPORATION (BAC)

After service as a Naval officer during World War II, Sheldon P. Lewis concluded his undergraduate studies at California State University-Fresno and received an MBA from Harvard Business School.  He returned to Fresno in 1949 as a CPA and in 1953 took on the administration of a multi-employer union negotiated health plan, thus beginning the organization that would become Benefit Administration Corporation.

In the intervening years, BAC has grown entirely by referral to its present size and solid reputation for performance.  We now administer health, welfare, pension, vacation, flexible benefit (Section 125) and other miscellaneous trust and benefit plans for trust fund clients, corporations, associations, and government entities.  BAC maintains its headquarters in Fresno with most of its clients based in Central California.  As a local firm, we are especially responsive to the needs of Valley clients.

The real key to our reputation for quality service is our caring, experienced professional employees.  Our team is committed to providing personalized, prompt and courteous service.  We are proud of the dedication of our employees to BAC and its clients.  Nearly one third of the current staff are members of our Ten Year Club.

BAC acts solely as a Contract Administrator and does not market insurance policies or investment products. We do, however, assist brokers and agents in the placement and renewal of stop-loss coverage for our health plan clients.  Our main goal is to utilize our many years of experience and our sophisticated data processing systems to provide the highest quality benefit plan administration.  While BAC has a wide range of services available, our hallmark is flexibility and we work with each client to design the type and range of services tailored to their specific circumstances.  BAC is also prepared to modify its services as needed to assist clients in meeting continually changing regulatory requirements.
